The Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA) is a federal coalition focused on advocating for the advancement of the electric vehicle supply chain. ZETA is committed to enacting policies that drive EV adoption, create hundreds of thousands of jobs, and maintain American EV manufacturing dominance in global markets.

THE CHALLENGE

ZETA launched in November 2020 with the mission of supporting national policies advancing the electric vehicle supply chain. ZETA focused its efforts in two distinct avenues: (1) developing and advocating for national policies to support domestic EV growth and adoption, and (2) educating the public about the numerous benefits of EVs. ZETA called on DG+ to support its initial launch and to subsequently grow public and political awareness about the benefits of an all-electric future.

SOLUTION

The DG+ team began working with ZETA prior to its 2020 launch in order to build a strong foundation to support its lofty goals. The first phase of the launch entailed developing a comprehensive press kit and supporting materials, including brochures, infographics, website design, and shareable collateral. Every asset was crafted to ensure the coalition felt organized, unified, and ready to engage from day one. 

The second phase entailed honing the “ZETA voice” through key messaging and positioning, which helped streamline its external communications and support its rapid internal growth.

As ZETA’s work accelerated and its audience expanded, we continued to evolve its digital presence to support growth. We led a website refresh focused on usability, hierarchy, and scalability—reorganizing content to better distinguish between policy advocacy and public education, improving clarity for different stakeholder groups, and creating modular templates to support ongoing campaigns and updates.

To make the benefits of electrification more tangible, we also developed interactive tools such as the Electricity vs. Gasoline calculator, translating policy into real-world economic impact for consumers.

Across each phase, our work focused on building durable infrastructure to support a fast-growing coalition operating at the center of national transportation policy.
