Avery creates PR opportunities for clients, from news articles to speaking opportunities. She previously worked as a freelance journalist, covering West Coast and environmental stories. Before that, she was a fellow at The Economist and worked for 8+ years on Ranked Choice Voting campaigns, having started on the initiative in her home state of Maine that resulted in it being the first state to adopt the reform. She graduated from Yale with degrees in political science and Russian & Eastern European studies, and in her free time likes to hike, climb, and mountaineer.
